A Guide to the Law and practice of Conveyancing in Zimbabwe (ISBN |
| Author: LIoyd Mativenga Mhishi |
| Published Date: 2005 |
| Generally, Conveyancing is a technical and exacting area of study. This
handbook attempts to demystify both the law and practice of conveyancing in
Zimbabwe, by employing a user-friendly and accessible writing style. The
handbook is groundingbreaking in two particular respects. First, it gives a
practical, as opposed to a dry academic, approch to conveyancing. In other
words, this publication gives conveyancers, both those practising and
aspiring, a synthesis of the theoretical discourse and practice of
conveyancing. Second, most of the existing body of knowledge on
conveyancing has tended to dwell on South Africa examples, some of which
cannot be superimposed on the Zimbabwean situation. This handbook is
probably the first publication to treat conveyancing using Zimbabwean
examples. It is hoped that this publication will be of particular use to
students, executives, clerks and secretaries involved in conveyancing. The
publication is more specifically written for conveyancers at the deeds
registry office, estate agents, Law firms and the tertiary institutions.
