Legal Resources Foundation (Zimbabwe)

Vision : A Zimbabwe where human rights are upheld and all people have access to justice.

The Legal Resources Foundation (LRF) was established in 1984 to meet an expressed need to improve the accessibility of legal and information services to all sections of the population. Programmes undertaken by the LRF are based on the understanding that facilitating access to the legal system can advance human rights in Zimbabwe. The LRF believes that disadvantaged people, particularly women, can be empowered to assert their rights through the legal system when they are provided with information and advice.

The LRF’s mission therefore is to improve access to justice and promote human rights in Zimbabwe by:
* Educating the population,
* Offering legal services
* Providing legal and civic information
* Promoting law and policy reform and citizen participation in governance
* Monitoring human rights abuses
* Training service providers in the justice system and public sector.
